Iced Chai Latte

Ingredients

2 cups (500 mL) boiling water
4 bags Celestial Seasonings® Bengal Spice tea
1 tbsp (15 mL) granulated sugar (or to taste)
3/4 cup (175 mL) Almond Dream® Enriched Vanilla almond beverage

Directions

  1. Pour boiling water into a large glass measuring cup. Add tea bags; let steep for about 5 minutes. Remove tea bags, squeezing gently. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Let tea cool. (Can be made ahead; cover and refrigerate.)
  2. Stir in 1/2 cup (125 mL) of the almond beverage. Pour over ice in two tall glasses.
  3. Froth the remaining 1/4 cup (50 mL) almond beverage using an immersion blender or whisk briskly in a small bowl. Spoon foam onto top of chai latte. (Repeat frothing until you get the desired amount of foam.)

 

Tips

If desired, use Original Almond Dream® and add 1/4 tsp (1 mL) vanilla.

Variation: Hot Chai Latte - Make tea as above, stir in 1/2 cup (125 mL) hot almond beverage. Froth remaining almond beverage as above and spoon onto top of the latte. Sprinkle top with cocoa or shaved chocolate if desired.
